Hasbro Q&A - Round # 5 (2008)

DECEMBER 2008 - ROUND #5

The G.I. JOE COLLECTORS' CLUB has received the answers from the HASBRO team for the bi-monthly Q&A series. Check out our list of submission questions, along with the answers as provided by the company:

GIJCC Question 1: At JoeCon 2008, many of us were told that the Toys "R" Us: Exclusive Iron Grenadier with purple belts was based on Destro's General Voltar and would be the Officer in the set. So why does the Iron Grenadier Command package and filecard show him as the trooper now?
Hasbro Answers: After JoeCon the red and purple uniform figures were flipped.

GIJCC Question 2: Do you have plans to make any other Oktober Guard figures?
Hasbro Answers: There are currently no plans for any additional Oktober Guard figures at this time.

GIJCC Question 3: We really enjoyed the Cobra Extreme Condition: Arctic & Desert figure packs. Are there any plans to release their G.I. Joe counterparts?
Hasbro Answers: We are investigating more Extreme Conditions Packs for 2009.

GIJCC Question 4: We have found many rank errors on the G.I. Joe filecards. (For example: Flint should be listed as Warrant Officer and not E-6; Lt. Torpedo is still listed as a Warrant Officer and should be a Navy Lt.) - can you fix these?
Hasbro Answers: Please feel free to have the Club collect a list of any errors you find in filecards and send them to Hasbro so we can aim to fix them in the future.

GIJCC Question 5: Will the file cards for future vehicle pack drivers/vehicles be in the box or part of the box? This seems to go back and forth and inside the box is much more collector friendly.
Hasbro Answers: Where possible, we are trying to put the file cards inside the boxes when doing collector products.

Special Thanks to the Hasbro Global Brand Marketing team for their support this year and we're looking forward to a very exciting 2009!
